Hi! I’m Beth Bastian, the founder and creator of Bastian World Travel. My story starts when I was about 9 years old growing up on a farm in Upstate New York and asking my parents for a subscription to Conde Nast Travel magazine. My bedroom walls were quickly covered with glossy pages featuring destinations from sparkling Hawaiian beaches, to remote African safari lodges. But, I didn’t land in the travel business at the start of my career - there were a few steps along the way.
After graduating from the University of Michigan with an engineering degree, I travelled extensively while working for an international construction company. These travels fed my interest and passion for exploring the world, and the desire to share this knowledge with my family and friends. In 2003, I moved my family from the East Coast to the West Coast where I continued my career as Advertising Director for a travel media company focusing on California wine country and the Southeast region of Alaska. I am passionate about building travel planning partnerships with my clients through high levels of communication, destination expertise, guidance of the ever changing travel landscape, and delivering a personalized, memorable and customized trip.
When I’m not not in my office, you’ll find me continuing to discover the globe always adding to my destination list- now up to 46 states, and 50 countries.
